It is amazing the number of times in life we do or say something which is right at the time, yet later, we suffer guilt over it. Hindsight, as they say, is 20/20. We all spend far too much time looking behind us and depending upon hindsight.
The truth is, we generally make the decisions we do because of the situation, circumstances and information we have at that time. With that being the case, how can we consider that choice a mistake? If you KNOW at that very moment what you are doing is wrong, then it is most certainly a mistake, but that is not always the case.
On my list of life’s rules, #2 is this: LEARN from your choices and they will not be mistakes. By this, I mean that even though you may make a decision or choice that is not the best, if you learn from that decision or choice and do not repeat it, then you have not made a mistake. You have learned a valuable lesson.
Something to always remember is that circumstances and situations change..each and every day everything changes. That cannot be denied and it cannot be stopped. The key is to learn from the changes and adapt behavior and choices according to those changes.
Simple lesson, difficult to remember and even harder to implement.
